Heidi CorbettHeidi is a 3rd grade teacher at an international school in Seoul, South Korea. She enjoys teaching her sweet students and being part of a diverse community. With access to great tools and resources, she continues to explore the possibilities that new technologies offer her and her students for learning. In her spare time, she enjoys adventures outdoors and traveling to new and familiar places.

Rob McElroyRob is a teacher at an immersion elementary school in Seoul, South Korea. He has been teaching overseas for over ten years and loves all the chances his career has allowed him to travel and explore new cultures. Currently he is spearheading his school's transition to become a Google school and is studying to become a Google educator. The UBC MET program has been a great experience and helped him to realize that being a great teacher requires more than skills. It requires heart and soul.

D'Alice MarshD’Alice is a teacher at the POWER Program, an alternate school for youth aged 16 – 19, in New Westminster, BC. Here D’Alice teaches a variety of subjects: Applications & Workplace Mathematics 10 & 11, Science 10, Earth Science 11, Science & Technology 11, Photography 11/12, and Physical Education 10-12.
D’Alice is also a graduate student in the Master of Educational Technology program offered through the University of British Columbia and is currently enrolled in her 8th and 9th courses. She believes that as educators we should model a desire to engage in life long learning by continuously challenging ourselves to pursue greater knowledge. It is her goal to expand her Personal Learning Network to continue her personal development as a teacher. As such she has recently become a co-moderator of #bcedchat. |
Owen SummersOwen Summers is a middle school French Immersion math and science teacher. He is always looking to find new and exciting ways to motivate his students in their learning endeavors, and this is one of the major reasons he joined UBC's MET program. He considers himself a lifelong learner and appreciates the convenience that mobile technology provides him in the pursuit of his interests of nature, music, food, sports, and languages.
